The Australian International Marine Export Group (AIMEX) has announced the 2026 Australian Marine Industry Awards, celebrating outstanding achievements across the nation's superyacht, marine export, and commercial marine sectors.
These prestigious awards aim to recognise excellence, innovation, and leadership within the Australian marine industry.

The awards are open to members of AIMEX, Superyacht Australia, and the Australian Commercial Marine Group (ACMG). They provide an opportunity for businesses and individuals to gain industry recognition, increase visibility through national media and industry exposure, showcase projects, products, and services, and connect with industry leaders and peers.

In 2026, the awards feature two categories within the commercial marine sector. The 'Australian Commercial Project, Design or Manufacturer of the Year Award' remains unchanged, while a newly introduced category, the 'Australian Hospitality or Tourism Operator of the Year,' combines the former Hospitality Operator and Tourism Operator awards into one. This consolidation aims to streamline the recognition process and highlight the interconnectedness of hospitality and tourism within the marine industry.

AIMEX's commitment to supporting the future of Australia's marine industry is exemplified through the 'Australian Marine Industry Apprentice of the Year Award.' The winner of this award receives complimentary return flights to Amsterdam, accommodation, and an industry pass to Metstrade, the world's largest marine equipment trade show. This initiative provides apprentices with invaluable international exposure and learning opportunities, fostering the next generation of industry leaders.

The Australian Marine Industry Awards Gala Dinner is a highlight of the annual marine industry calendar. Scheduled for Tuesday, 19 May 2026, at The Langham Gold Coast, the event brings together industry leaders, professionals, and businesses to honour the achievements of award winners and finalists across various categories. Tickets for the gala dinner will be available for purchase in March 2026.

Entering the awards is free, and the benefits are substantial. Participants have the chance to gain industry recognition for outstanding achievements, increase visibility through national media and industry exposure, showcase projects, products, and services, recognise and reward the achievements of their teams, and connect with industry leaders, peers, and past award winners.

The Australian Marine Industry Awards serve as a platform to highlight the innovation, dedication, and excellence that define the nation's marine sector. By recognising and celebrating these achievements, the awards contribute to the ongoing growth and success of the industry, inspiring businesses and individuals to strive for excellence.

For more information about the awards, including entry details and criteria, interested parties are encouraged to visit the AIMEX website. The awards provide a unique opportunity to showcase the best of Australia's marine industry and to celebrate the contributions of those who drive its success.
